2 states, why it’s hard to work in real life ?

More than 3 million views in a week, the two states trailer has been viral on youtube. The book was a huge success too. The thought of marrying someone from another region itself is exciting. All though the idea is amusing and it seems fun, trust me it is very far fetched, you don’t believe me, well personal experience.

As a person from the South I usually have India divided into three. 1. The south 2.The North 3. And The East, so where is The West? Well they speak Hindi and look like Northies, so it’s all the same.

So back to our heading, why is it hit on paper(hopefully on screens too) and not in real life?

1. Language

Love doesn't require language, but it isn't fun without speaking, all though English is there, you will feel more comfortable with a person who can reply in the same language as yours.

2. Hangout gangs

This is the biggest issue you are going to face my friend. Obviously both of you are gonna have separate sets of friends and if you land up in the bad books of even one friend, bad luck bro, I suggest you go look for other fishes in the sea rather than wasting on this fish, who swims with her swarm.

3. Customs

In the beginning you are going to like all the customs she tells you about, that is because it’s all new to you and it sounds amazing. She might even drag you to the temple and make you eat laddus as prasad.... Actually it’s not bad, the customs are always nice. Even if the whole thing doesn't work out, you are going to learn a hell lot about the other persons culture.

4. Sarcasm

Some of you out there have a sense of humour and are blessed to use sarcasm in the right way, so when you hear them say something stupid or when they try to speak in your language, your sarcasm kicks in and you troll them. All though this is all fun in the beginning, as time goes on. You get irritated with his/her stupidity and will definitely fight.

5. Movies

English movies, yes! But don’t you wanna watch any of the movies in your regional movies, what about a romantic flick in your own language? If you settle down and decide to watch it in your laptop she/he isn't gonna be half as interested in the movie as you are and IF it is one of your favourite movie. Trust me your gonna be mad at your darling.

Does this end here??? Definitely not! There are a lot more reasons. So before marriage you will have to sort all this down. If you manage to sort through all this and if you have even a tincy wincy bit of love, you had in the beginning then don’t look back, you guys are meant to be together and don’t let any silly community issue stop you from being together.

P.S:  A lot of “2 states” relationships stay well and good. So don’t panic if you are in one.  If you have struck on the right note, nothing is gonna break you up.
